About the Black Hills Camping Guidebook

BLACK HILLS CAMPING is a guidebook that covers more than 60 public campgrounds in the Black Hills and surrounding region. The book covers camps managed by the following agencies:

• Black Hills National Forest - this includes those popular camps that surround Mount Rushmore National Memorial as well as those remote camps on the fringes of the Black Hills.

• South Dakota and Wyoming State Parks (including Custer State Park, Angostura, Bear Butte, and Keyhole).

• National Park Service - includes Devils Tower National Monument, Wind Cave National Park, and Badlands National Park.

• US Corps of Engineers - this agency manages a couple of reservoirs and campgrounds in the southern portion of the Black Hills.
